George, a Jesuit master of black magic, has duped Magdalena, a young secretary, into aiding him in a project that she thinks will clear the name of an old woman burnt for witchcraft by a mob in Prague's Old Town Square in 1356. What she is really doing, however, is helping George unleash the fury of the witch's dying curse on the city.
