After a catastrophe destroys their village, Sorata and Mizuki are forced to move someplace else where they can reside and make a living. They end up settling in the capital city where they first appeared: Casselonia. At first things seem to be going well, at least that's how Sorata's mentality is set as he tries to find a job in a city where Aldgrundians are considered second class citizens. Only Mizuki is able to find employment and with only her bringing in the money, Sorata and Mizuki's relationship weakens because the can't make ends meet. But one day as Sorata is still job hunting, he sees an opportunity for himself in the royal armed forces of Casselonia since war is becoming eminent. Will this only serve to destroy once and for all their relationship? Or will Sorata be able to reinvent himself in a conflict he never wanted to partake in?

ZEN - Part Two [COMPLETED] [#WATTYS2017] by DJElliott
51 parts Complete Mature
THIS IS PART TWO OF TWO. If you've yet to read through Act One, I suggest you do that first. Most days, you can find Mizuki Nekoyama in Hell, creeping through pitch-black passages, disabling deadly traps, and avoiding even-deadlier monsters. But that's the job of a Scout; highly-trained and extremely-capable individuals willing to brave the Depths in exchange for money, power and prestige. Most often, however, their careers are cut short between heartbeats if they let their guard down for just a single second. For the past five years, Mizuki, or 'Zen', has lived with the guilt that comes with losing her friends and lover inside one of the nation's Dungeons, and has searched far and wide for the person she believes is responsible for their tragic demise. She might be obsessive, compulsive, brutal, and slightly crazed, yet its exactly those traits which will allow her to progress in her mission; track down her quarry; and along the way found an organization capable of bringing entire nations to their knees. (Note: Cover Art ripped from a Google search. Whomever the creator is has an amazing talent, and I hope they go on to do Many Great Things.) DISCLAIMER, in BIG, BOLD LETTERS: This fictional tale deals with topics including, but not limited to: Slavery, Brutal uses of Swords and Magic, Murder, Racism, Sex, LGBT-Q, Political Intrigue, Rape, Torture, Bloody Slaughter, and much, much more. Naturally, there's also a lot of laughter, love, excitement, action, and suspense. Comments and feed-back are always appreciated, as are shares, likes, votes, and other positive reinforcements. Trolls can just slink back under their bridges.

Shota Aizawa never planned on having a family. He wasn't a people-person, so living in a house with multiple other humans was never his idea of a 'home'. That was until he stumbled upon a bundle of purple hair in a grimy ally, late on the Saturday night that would change the course of his life forever - not that he was complaining. But what will happen when his family is threatened by an unknown force? And what will he do when a student of his is left in need of a place to call home - a student who also happens to have a massive target on their back? This story may contain some triggering content.
