The title, in case anyone picked up on it, is a play on James Patterson's first Maximum Ride story, The Angel Experiment -- for no better than because I thought the idea of arbitrarily bird-winged creatures and pointlessly evil scientists was (somewhat) apt and (somewhat) hilarious.
