I ran as fast as my feet would carry me. My lungs gasped for oxygen. I knew I had to stop, but he could still be following me. I pushed myself harder. I needed to get away, far away. From him. From this. I remember I just woke up one day, and went to work as usual. I drove my squad car around town on patrol, but I saw bodies. Bodies everywhere.
