This story follows the life of a fictional character named Lacene "Lacey" Frenchkey (Lucy Hale). It touches on her past where she suffered at the hands of sexual and physical abuse, causing her to spiral into a depression and try her luck at multiple suicide attempts.
She now lives with Doctor Steele (Ryan Gosling) whom she calls daddy. Doctor Steele is a well known doctor from a abundant, billionaire background.
