When the gods of the old ways disappear the realms begin to fight, nearly a hundred years later a war is in full swing . Contracts have been made but no lasting peace has been reached. Goblins and Humans are now the last main contenders in a war for control. The Goblin king, Dalion, receives a distress call and he and his raiders attack a nearby village in what they believe will be a rescue. Instead he meets Ahna. The king takes her with him to his own realm, her life spared but not out of kindness. Something is different about her and sets her apart from the humans and the Dalion wants to know why. In the midst of a war between the two races Ahna must do what she can to stay alive and protect the truth about herself,  all while battling feelings for and from a king who is fighting on the opposite side of the war.
