They grew up together, Lexi and Ian, in the same town, on the same street, with same other kids. The same scabs, the same bruises, the same memories. In elementary school, nobody really cares if your best friend is a boy. Nor even middle school even.
But high school changes a lot. Lexi is drawn off the path, away from the cheerleading team where her ex best friend joins, and aims more for the volley ball team, but also honor roll. Ian leans more in the direction of the football team. So the once close best friends now barely even say hi to each other in the halls.
But a random interaction get the two talking again. But they've both changed and.... have different emotions. And Lexi can't help but fall for her old childhood best friend, while hating herself for being such a cliche. But she can't stop what she feels. And it turns out, neither can he.
