This book is based on the popular TV series by BBC's "Merlin". The story takes place in Camelot, a kingdom ruled by Uther Pendragon. Merlin is a thirteen year old boy, who goes on an adventure to seek the truth of his real identity. Born in Ealdor, the tale begins with a young Merlin only seven experiencing magic, he did not understand what was wrong with him. He didn't understand why he wasn't like the other children. He asked his mother, but she knew he couldn't tell him the truth. She said it was probabarly his imagination. So without his mother to tell him the truth, how far will he go to seek the truth?
