Being bitten by a vampire would usually mean it's the end of your previous life. You're no longer a human. But what if by some miracle you found yourself adapting, your own genes protecting yourself from the venom trying to take over.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Aria Hotah is half Quileute meaning she carries the genes of those that are shifters. When she was attacked and bitten, her shifter genes allowed for body to change and adapt in order to protect herself from the venom. She became half human half vampire.

Through these struggles she also faces the problems of losing her best friend, Jacob, as he faces changes of his own. He can't seem to keep his promises to her, leaving their friendship in a mess of broken pieces. 

Will it eventually all come together, or will the pieces remained shattered?
