When a young tom cat, Storm, wakes up alone in an underground cave, he is surrounded by cats that have been killed in a mysterious fight. After burying the cats, Storm decides to start a home in the cave in honor of the cats who died. But as more cats join the newly named Tribe of Falling Rain, Storm begins having dreams of what happened to all of those cats many moons ago; and even some about what happened to him. As Storm dreams more and more about his past, he learns one shocking secret as to how he got here, and how he may be this Tribe's last hope for survival.
