She swore she'd never get married. He stopped believing in forever a long time ago. Their sisters thought introducing them was a great idea. *** Nikki has one rule: Never let anyone close enough to break her again. Which means, no marriage and no long-term relationships. After one devastating heartbreak, her quiet life at the cafe is exactly the way she likes it- predictable, peaceful, and safely off-limits. Too bad nobody warned her about Kaiden Pace. Kaiden lives out of tour buses, sold-out arenas, and cities he never stays in long enough to call home. Commitment was never part of the plan, and the last thing he needs is a woman who looks at him like his charm is nothing more than an inconvenience. Nikki can't stand how easily he slips into her routine... or how quickly he makes her forget why she built those walls in the first place. So they settle on the safest option: Friendship. Until late-night conversations become impossible to give up... Until "just friends" starts feeling like the biggest lie they've ever told... And the one man who was never supposed to stay starts feeling dangerously close to home.
