Asriya-Pearl Ocean is a mermaid. But not a typical mermaid. She's a princess. A princess stuck under strict laws and rules about humans. Her home, an ancient island. Sirenas a lovely island of only mermaids. Except for the months of June to August where humans came for trade and for showing the younger generation a human. Asriyas problem: Luke Prince of Angros, a wealthy island of humans. As they fall in love, Asriya wonders about the law with the penalty of Death: Never show a human that your a mermaid. Then there was the second law: Never fall in love with a human. Well dang it! This is forbidden love...

A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school.
