My attempt at writing one of many altered versions of Alice in Wonderland. In which Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole, but everything is not as it appears in her childhood imaginings. She finds herself finding things she never knew she was looking for, and growing fond of a place that she never expected to make her feel more like herself than her own home. A place where suddenly...she wasn't out of place; and maybe, she'd find someone who was just as mad as herself.
(Sorry...crappy summary, but I'll change it when I come up with something else.)

"There once was a hatter, As mad as could be. And had a daughter, Who was madder than he." Tarrant Hightopp, known as the maddest hatter in Wonderland, had a daughter. No one knows who her mother was, only that she was long gone after her child's and could not be found. Not even the Mad Hatter himself knew who his own daughter's mother was. But nevertheless, the people in Wonderland took care of her as if she were their own kin. She had as many mothers and fathers and siblings as there were people. She was an ordinary child, without a single drop of madness in her. The people wondered when she would get the genes. Then, a catastrophe happened, and she lost everything. In a different world, the distant descendant of Alice Kingsleigh, will venture into a world her grandmother once journeyed, meeting the curious of cats, the maddest of hatters, and the many residents of this magical world. Although things in wonderland are a bit different this time; friends are not as they appear to be and foes are not as evil as they seem to claim. The tides have changed and a new future awaits with new friendly faces. Let's see where this path takes us shall we? [There are things within this story that I do not own, like the original characters from Alice in Wonderland, but aside from that, plotline and other characters belong to me] Thank you, enjoy the book :3 [Another little warning thingy.. this story is not 'child-friendly'. Hatter's Revenge (rewriting - read at own risk)
There are a few things you need to know about Wonderland. First off, completely misnamed. It should be Terrorland. People don't just accidentally tumble into Wonderland, it sucks them in. There is no following of cute white rabbits with pocket watches. Wonderland is dangerous and you can lose a lot more than your head if you're not careful. Second, the Hearts are in control, but they shouldn't be. The throne of Wonderland rightfully belongs to the Spade heir. But he's currently missing. Third, and probably most important, is that Madison Hatter is NOT a native of Wonderland. He was yanked through a mirror many years ago and has been trying to survive Wonderland ever since. Now he has an idealistic young Real-Worlder on his hands and a rebellion in his heart. Mad is going to remove that Heart Queen if it's the last thing he does. She's the one who stole him from his life all those years ago and he's been waiting for the moment when he can tear her life to shreds in repayment. Beautiful cover made by StormRidden **Warning** I thought it fair to warn potential readers that there is gun violence in this story.
