To Love A Beast

Meet Alexis Anderson. She's not your typical main character, with the tall, slim figure, a beautiful face and overall exotic beauty. Lexi is short, has wide hips, a bit of a tummy and not-so-slim thighs. Her face isn't the most beautiful, but she is pretty, and she's British, which is as exotic as she will ever get.
Lexi knows that she's not perfect. She knows that she isn't likely the first choice for a guy. They'd much rather choose her best friend, the leggy blonde. But Lexi has accepted that. Sort of. All she knows is that she doesn't have motivation to change, so she wont.

In comes Ryder St. Clair. In short an Adonis. An Italian Adonis. He caught Lexi's eye the moment she laid eyes on him. Too bad he had to open his mouth and ruin it. But Ryder has issues, and not the typical, damaged goods kind either. He also has a secret that Lexi is quick to find out.
Despite him seeming to dislike her, they can't stay away from each other for long. Lexi wants to figure out how much damage his past has caused and fix him. But he holds her at arms length, in his own way protecting her. But if he really wants to do that he should pull her close, because Lexi is the only person who can save Ryder from himself and his past. He just needs to let her in, but how could Lexi save him? How could anyone learn to love a beast?
