Meet Alexis Anderson. She's not your typical main character, with the tall, slim figure, a beautiful face and overall exotic beauty. Lexi is short, has wide hips, a bit of a tummy and not-so-slim thighs. Her face isn't the most beautiful, but she is pretty, and she's British, which is as exotic as she will ever get.

In comes Ryder St. Clair. In short an Adonis. An Italian Adonis. He caught Lexi's eye the moment she laid eyes on him. Too bad he had to open his mouth and ruin it. But Ryder has issues, and not the typical, damaged goods kind either. He also has a secret that Lexi is quick to find out.
Despite him seeming to dislike her, they can't stay away from each other for long. Lexi wants to figure out how much damage his past has caused and fix him. But he holds her at arms length, in his own way protecting her. But if he really wants to do that he should pull her close, because Lexi is the only person who can save Ryder from himself and his past. He just needs to let her in, but how could Lexi save him? How could anyone learn to love a beast?

I was almost to the door when I remembered the leather jacket I brought. I turned back to the room and just as I entered the most wonderful smell hit my nose. My wolf started to go crazy and I looked up to see a small pale girl with black hair in a bun and pale blue eyes. All my wolf kept saying was MATE over and over again. I knew that my eyes were glowing red and my canines were out but I was pissed and didn't have a good temper. When she stepped away from me again I let out a growl and she instantly froze. "MINE." Charity Andrews is a werewolf who hasn't shifted yet. She is abused and mistreated by her pack for this reason because they don't think she is anything but a worthless human. That all changes when Alpha Colton comes for a meeting. Alpha Colton is the coldest meanest Alpha that many fear. A rustle came from the bushes. I whipped my head up, and a pair of luminous eyes met mine. Both fear and panic held me to the ground. I couldn't scream or move. I turned and ran, slipping as I came round the fence, my heart pounding. The heavy footsteps were coming impossibly close and this refueled my muscles and I sprang up coming round to the gate of the fence. As I ripped the gate open, I was slammed to the ground. Teeth pierced the skin in my leg and I let out a shrill scream. I felt myself being dragged backwards towards the trees. I let out another scream and tried to kick my attacker. With a growl, claws came and gashed my other leg and a scream ripped past my lips. Just as I was being dragged into the trees, the pulling stopped. I tried to crawl away and then to stand and run, but the searing pain left me falling to my feet. Blood was pouring out of my leg and I could feel myself slipping away.
