And Will wants Nico to start taking a little more responsibility for his health. Good times. But a new threat is on the rise, one that no one could foresee. Nothing involving monsters or ancient gods, no. Corruption. Somewhere in New Rome, a son of Ares discovers a loophole, a flaw if you may will in the Roman camp's governing and quickly makes his way to a high stand of power over the camp. He is in control of the camp, immediately abolishing Frank and Reyna as Praetor. His first decree?... wiping out the children of the eldest gods. The sons and daughters of Poseidon, Zeus and Hades are now wanted against the law with little to no odds of survival. Friends are made and broken. Loyalties shattered. Secrets spilled. lives ended. When you turn 14, you get a tattoo that describes your soulmate. As you spend more time with them, it gets more detailed. But when you kiss your soulmate for the first time, you tattoo glows and shows their name. But this only happens when it is love and love only. (So if you just kiss someone to kiss them then your tattoo won't glow) As for your soulmate dying, your tattoo turns black and shows a small picture of them with their name under. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to! (I don't own any of the characters or art work that appears in this fanfic. All of the characters belong to Rick Riordan.)
