A young boy named Peter Quest at the age of 10 is being hunted down by an enemy force known as the Galaxy Empire. He lives in his home planet of Hover and races pods for fun. His arch rival know as Sirbus has beaten him 10 times and destroyed Peters pod in each race. But when a special force of defenders shows up to his homeland and takes a bet on him in the next race for his servant life away. Peter must win and go with these defenders and learn the ways of being part of "The Masters". A special group of people who have learned to manipulate others and use a weapon known as "The Rim". This 4 book Saga begins on Peters home land.
