A woman, whose heart, home, and everything else in her life was wrecked along with her boat. She was alone on an island when her sanity and her life-force were buried six feet beneath the ground in the form of her best friend. 
Nothing tied her down to reality anymore. 

A man, who was tired of the interconnected web of his life, chose to unwind it all. He brought his wit and his sanity to a far off island to be alone. But he didn't realise that the only reason he used to function was because of the many things that held him up. On the island, he fell deep and hard without anyone to help him out. His being started to unwind, but not in the way he wanted or expected. 



They both had a clean slate. They both got lost on their new canvases. They both couldn't be found, because no one was looking for them. 


But they were surprised by who was looking out for them.

So, it's the guys that do the heart breaking, right? Not this time. Lacy broke his ego. His heart. Him. She cat-fished Ace and made him fall in love with her - via text. As the texting became addictive, she didn't realise the mess she was in. She was being manipulative, devious and selfish. It was the same routine, everyday. Sending him fake pictures, lying to him and playing with his feelings. Until...the deceit became intolerable. The guilt was gnawing her insides - to the point it drove her insane. She was falling in love with him too. There was no way out - not now. She had to lie her way out - somehow or the other. She had to tell him the truth - soon! But, when she did, the ending was indeed, tragic... Lies came out into the open, unexpected truths were revealed but, more importantly, several hearts were broken... I hope you all enjoy this book xox

Turning into the monster under the bed instead of the scared child under the covers. It was drowning me fast, taking me under, until I started breathing it like oxygen. Until it had me hooked by the neck, and I couldn't make my escape. I don't know how he found me or why he stayed by my side. I just know his love was so intoxicating, that it saved me. For every person out there that was quiet, not because they chose to be so, but because they were choking in the smoke. Because their opinions were apparently not worth anything. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. For the floors we would pace while anxiety sunk its teeth into us. For the mirrors that we would break while shame echoed its laugh in our caged walls. For the hearts that would ache while loneliness was the only company. For every moment of pain and solitude in this world that feels too cruel for such young and frail minds.

Bliss. Delight. Contentment. Euphoria. Elation. Joy. Glee. Felicity. Jubilation. These are all words synonymous to the word happiness. But what is true happiness? Happiness is that feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your chest, trying to break out. Happiness is that invisible fluid rushing in your veins, making you shiver in the most wonderful way. Happiness is the force that pulls your cheeks up into the widest smile and makes your eyes twinkle. Happiness makes you light-headed and giddy, it is in fact like alcohol. Well then, I am utterly and completely drunk. When you're happy, everything feels amazing. Even small insignificant things like getting up in the morning. The golden hue of sunlight streaming in through the curtains feels like a soft caress from the hand of a lover. The birds seem to chirp sweetly outside, a melody to which the leaves sway as if mesmerised by their music. The curtains tango with the wind beautifully. Every little thing seems perfect. And that's a word I'd use to describe my life. Perfect. To give you a little introduction about me, let me start by explaining the most important aspects of my life. I have a loving family. There's my sarcastic, yet surprisingly sweet brother, my beautiful mother (both in looks and spirit) and my stern, yet humorous father. I have the best best friend, Charlotte and I have an amazing boyfriend, Theo. I'm quite beautiful and popular too which I'm not saying to brag, I'm just stating the truth. So that is my life. The life of Tia-Jade Garcia. *** What she didn't know was that every high has a low and that the higher you rise, the lower you fall and the more painful that fall is.
