Tony Stark sighs. "You're not going with me on this, are you, Cap?"

Steve Rogers sighs deeply, the weight of his next words already crushing him. "Tony, you are, and always will be, my friend. I care for you deeply, but I will not allow the government to take more than its fair share of power, especially when it comes to the safety, freedom, and rights of some of our closest friends, like Glory Northern. I want her kids to grow up free to express their powers without fear."

"Don't bring Glory into this," Tony warns.

"There's still a chance we can work this out peacefully, Tony," Steve adds, almost begs. "War will mean people die, and I will fight you on this. This is a violation of civil rights."

"Civil rights assume that they're normal people. They aren't."

"So, I'm not worth rights? Glory's not worth it?" Steve nods, accepting the fact that he and Tony will be waging war over this. "Goodbye, Tony. I'm sorry."

"Goodbye, Cap, but I'm not."

Black Death has been defeated, Bucky Barnes has come home, and new Avengers keep are making more progress than ever before. Pietro and Glory are expecting twins and are engaged.

Until he realises work may be the only thing he truly needs to get back to his old life, if that is even possible. When they meet they both come to the conclusion that they will never get along. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.
