Mallory has always felt out of place in the remote city that she lives in, surrounded by deserts and controlled by a sinister organization called F.E.A.R. (For Every and All Religions), whose only goal is to wipe out all creativity and individuality. Life is miserable, and she longs for change.
That's when she hears of the rebels living out in the desert, known as 'The Wild Ones' who aim to overthrow F.E.A.R. and free the city.
