Ambys 2024 Top Picks for Mystery/Thriller Since homecoming night senior year, Aisling Turner has lived in a hell of her mother's creation. For five years, she's been trapped in Florida, wondering why she can't remember anything about the night her best friend disappeared. Cut off from the only family who ever loved her and all she's ever known. It took five years, but she finally escaped and returned to the small town of Davies, Oklahoma. Everything and nothing is the same. But she's determined to make peace with her guilt. To say goodbye to Grams. To start over in the only place she's ever felt at home. If the town will let her, that is. Years later, most people still think she murdered her friend in the woods that night. Even Aisling isn't so sure she's completely innocent. Apparently, one of those "concerned citizens" believes Aisling knows more than she claims. They set off a chain reaction that puts Aisling on a path with Brett, her old high school crush, and his best friend, Deputy Leo, to discover what actually happened that night. Aisling isn't completely sure she wants to know. But like the drive to come home, the desire to know the truth is too strong. Even if it destroys her. Genre: Mystery/Thriller Demographic: New Adult Content Warning: This story does contain some difficult topics, namely child abuse (mentioned - never shown), attempted assault, being drugged, and, of course, murder. There is also some sexual content (aka one sex scene). The chapters with the sex scene and attempted assault are marked at the top of the chapter.

HIGHEST RANKING: 303 IN SCIENCE FICTION Isaac Crowley is your average 15 year old boy. He is a sophomore in high school, plays sports, and hangs out with his friends. Everything in his life is in control, and he knows that he has a bright future ahead. Then the dreams start happening. His best friend Lucy gets hit by a car. He dreams it, and then, it happens again two days later. He tells his parents, his friends, anyone that he can, but they all think that it's just a coincidence. These dreams begin to happen regularly, and the mounting suspense drives Isaac crazy as he tries to diffuse the situation inside his dreams, find someone that he can trust, and prove to his parents that something's wrong. But he spirals further and further down the rabbit hole, and creates a web of lies. Jesabel is a liar. When her only friend mysteriously disappears, she does what comes naturally. She keeps her truth from the world. Without warning, she is thrown into a web of lies far more dangerous and lethal than anything she could imagine. With an annoyingly charming boy by her side, can she unravel what she refuses to tell - the truth? WHITE LIES HAS BEEN REVISED, EDITED AND REWORKED! Happy late new year, friends! I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that White Lies, a story that has been up and running on Wattpad since 2011, has been re-written and revised for the coming decade. What does this mean? This entails the same characters you know and love, with better flow, better writing, more nuanced character development, more mature content, and entirely different plot lines. Jesabel's character has changed drastically since I last introduced her to the world (nearly NINE years ago! yikes!), and I wanted to make this story a more nuanced and modern take. When I had written White Lies, I had been just 14 years old. And I've done a ton of growing, learning, and unlearning over the years. This means that my characters have grown and developed with me. If you are an old friend and re-reader - welcome, and please enjoy the same old story you love with a brand new take! If you have started along this White Lies journey beginning in December and all throughout January, you might have read a half-edited and half-original version of the story. So please feel free to re-read at your leisure! I won't bite, I promise.
