There are lots of lovely stories about being in love. Some have a cool, edgy guy meets an cold, uptight woman and they learn from each other. Some have a boy and girl start out as friends at fall in love. Some have drama and fights, only for things to be perfectly fine in the end.
This isn't any of those fucking stories.
Of course, this is a story about love, but there's so much more to it than that.
This story is more of an experience than anything else. It's messy, it's sad, it's funny, it's intense, and it's a hell of a wild fucking ride.
Firstly, there's Gabe, the anxiety-ridden smart ass with a friend count lower than his GPA. He's cynical, he's lonely, and he has no tolerance for bullshit, but maybe he'll find room in his heart for somebody that he can finally trust.
Secondly, there's Jack, the dumb jocky socialite that would rather be anywhere than "home". He's an asshole, but a lovable one. He knows exactly how to piss somebody off in 100 different ways, but maybe he finally found someone who can see past that.
Their story isn't perfect, but, well, life isn't perfect. Life isn't some cheesy rom-com with a happy ending and a pop soundtrack. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it sucks, but it's always a wild fucking ride.
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
