A young Breton, found and raised by the Companions since a young age, has been trained in the way of the Warrior the nine years she's lived with them. Aela, a motherly figure to her, and Vilkas and Farkas, annoying brothers she never had, told her magic was evil, and soley for Daedra-worshippers. Elwen had believed them, sucking in the Nordic beliefs like Black-Briar mead. But why, on her seventeenth birthday, does she start to develop a skill for magic, the one thing she was forbidden to practice? With her heart soon set on leaving behind the way of a Warrior, and joining the ranks of the scholars at the College in Winterhold, Elwen trains hard to master the Arcane, and endures a wild adventure of love, heartbreak, near-death experiences, and cannibalism all the way through. Not to mention her role as Dragonborn and the pressure of the Civil War...

The Chronicles of Starlyn de CraigAPrice
27 Partes Concluida
Elves are immortal, except death by battle or poison. Yet, despite that fact, Starlyn’s mother is dying, and nobody knows why. Starlyn loves her mother and desperately searches for any way to help her, yet it seems there is little she can do but sit and watch. Even the elven healers and herbalists are stunned and cannot find a way. Other elves turn away from her aid, afraid of a weakness –an illness- in her bloodline, and would rather her mother die than taint the other elves with her weakness. Starlyn’s sister, Arria, refuses to sit and watch as their mother dies and takes more drastic measures to try and save their mother. She dives into the restricted books in the elven library about dark magic. Dark magic has been forbidden for the elves because it is said that even the willpower of an elf cannot prevail against the touch of a dark taint. Arria is no longer concerned of her own welfare and dives heavily into her studies. Strange things begin to happen, and Starlyn ends up learning of her sister’s studies in the dark magic and is forced to confront her. The elven law states that if you begin in the art of forbidden magic that you are forever an outcast from the elven order. Starlyn wishes to reason with her sister that dark magic is not the way. Her love for both her mother and sister leave her torn to either save her mother or her sister, and if at all possible to save them both. However, if she doesn’t make the right choice, it may condemn both of them to death, and leave Starlyn without family, which is the very thing she treasures the most.

Six hundred years ago, the world-- reborn from Ragnarok-- was nearly destroyed in an Uprising led by the Great Usurper, the Lord of All Evil, Vandr. The nine heroic Drakahalr rose to stop him, but could only imprison him before their deaths. Prophecy foretells of a time when they shall both return, and throw the world into a mighty war... But none of that is Bjalla's problem. Her issues come from being an escaped thrall, forced into pirating and working her fingers to the bone in the Black Markets. Stuck in her awful reality with her is her brother Jarl, and sister Alf, a long with their mother and grandparents. Jarl wants to be an einherjar, Alf a bard, and more than anything, Bjalla wishes to one day become a dragonrider-- a thought her siblings scoff at. When an opportunity presents itself to earn their freedom in a gladiatorial competition, the triplets leap at the chance: but it all may be for nothing, as they are unprepared. Jarl is strong, but undisciplined. Alf is smart, but her overconfidence leads to many mistakes. Bjalla is too weak, barely capable of lifting her sword, let alone swing it. And now she's found herself intrigued by the dangerous rogue Hrafnfar, the daemish dragonrider, against all of her mother's warnings. Their biggest problem is trusting their teammates. Thankfully, there's six months of training before the fights begin... but a little voice inside Bjalla's head that sounds horribly like the duke that imprisoned her keeps insisting that she will NEVER be good enough.

AFTER the Battle of Five Armies, an elf prince journeys to the north of Middle Earth in search of the mysterious Strider. But to also escape the grief of a 'love unspoken' as well as the oppressive regime of his father, King Thranduil. There among the Dúnedain, Legolas finds friendship, adventure, a sense of humor and a female ranger who is not quite what she seems. Is he fated to forever love another unrequited? And what of the broken relationship with his father, will the prince's choices drive a deeper wedge between them? A classic love story, filled with adventure and intrigue, but ALSO a journey into the unwritten years of the beginning of an epic friendship with Aragorn; all set prior to 'The Lord of the Rings'. *Feb 2018: 2nd in The Middle Earth Awards* *June 2018: 2nd in Arkenstone (The Hobbit) category, The Tolkien Awards* *July 2018: Official Featured Wattpad Fanfiction* *Jan 2019: #3 in Romance Hotlist (181k stories) -0-0-0-0-0- I may have nicknamed this story 'Pride and Prejudice for Elves', our silver-haired princeling has several centuries of repression he needs to work through, as well lighten up - before he can become the elf that we know and love in LOTR! The story is COMPLETE! All votes and comments greatly appreciated. I'd be absolutely thrilled to have you join me on this journey of self-discovery in Middle Earth. The best writing in this story belongs to @GreenScholarTales, who kindly allowed me to weave my romance into her story, 'Starting Anew.' Please go and see her other works and her original series on Wattpad, The Book of Terrus. The beautiful painting on the cover was kindly loaned by the highly talented Irishmellow, see her awesome work at https://irishmellow.deviantart.com/ Copyright: Tolkien owns all the familiar characters, Jackson & Co. own Tauriel and the starting premise, Green Scholar owns several significant events and almost all of the rangers ... but one, Wren, she is all mine!

"Words made me. They shifted over me from the moment I took breath; little black lines etched into my body as I wriggled and screamed. And learned their meanings. Duty. Honor. Fate." There were eight of them. Eight from the hundreds of thousands who once lived in the prosperous and happy kingdom of Winter. And now, since the last 16 years, they have been fighting to win back the only place they can and will call home. Aerin is a lonely orphan girl living among the eight out of twenty five who initially escaped, even though she has no memories of Winter of her own. She's a nobody, a girl gifhting for a world she's never seen. The boy she loves, however, isn't a nobody. He's the future King of WInter. Winter's last surviving hope of their magical bloodline. But Aerin was never destined to be a nobody. As the life she has always known fades into something different altogether, as new alliances are formed against the old enemy, leaving her questioning how useful she really is, as wars are fought, transporting her to even more dangerous places, all that she ever knew, about herself, about Winter, about family, love, Lucien and magic, is all about to change...
