Bennet is a seventeen year old boy.

Brooklyn is a fifteen year old girl.

Bennet is a race of humans called The Fire Lynx. A race that revolves around the element fire.

Brooklyn is a race call the Water Birds. They revolve around the element water.

These two are the most unlikely to meet. One being fire. One being water. The cities that the species live in are separated. Four cities for each of the four elements. Any thing outside the sixteen cities is known as the borderlands. Where unofficial cities have been formed by people who were banished or who fled from their homes.

When Bennet and Brooklyn are forced to flee from their cities after getting involved in separate crimes, they both flee from their cities. In hopes to stay clear of trouble.

When they meet each other, the two decide to work together to stay safe and alive. It's a difficult adventure, but hey know they can do it.

He wakes in a world that is not his own-a world where magic reigns and a ruthless ruler watches him with unreadable eyes. Zephiran. Powerful. Dangerous. Amused. Kiran doesn't belong here. And yet, the puddle chose him. But why? And more importantly... what happens when it comes back?
