So the title pretty much explains everything, it involves a puppy who lives next door. But it kind of rolls both ways, You have to read the book to understand.
The puppy's owner happens to be a really attractive male named Cole (also a son of alphas, soon to be alpha) . Coles an outgoing person, funny and as they say, he's very "appealing to the eye". For years Cole's parents were workaholics because of their alpha duties until they decided to step down and give that place to their eldest son, and they also gave him a puppy to help his inner wolf feel emotions as he didn't have a mate, and being mate less is unfair for an alpha.
One day his puppy goes missing. He panics and looks everywhere but he cannot find him so he goes to his neighbours to see if they have seen him, but to his surprise a beautiful and pretty small girl named Ruby answers the door.
Ruby is half human half Vampire but she has no clue of course because she was raised by two humans. Of course she's felt the cravings of blood but her mum snuck blood in with her "Smoothies", meaning her teeth have never shown. Ruby was the neighbours Niece (by the humans side), she came here after a terrible incident resulting in both her parents dying. She's a pretty outgoing person herself actually, but she prefers to be a little on the quiet side. She sticks to her work and has never drunk alcohol a day in her life.
With all this said, the puppy magically comes back into the book, but how, why, who, when, what? Nah I'm kidding, she's got the puppy inside her house!!
Anyway the book has many twists and turns that can leave the expected, unexpected! Btw, This is NOT a cliché, FINALLY
The outcasts of their pack, Dylan and Casey meet the mysterious Grey who breaks the rules of mating practices by being their third soulmate and change their lives for the better, but when there's a chance they'll lose Grey, Casey must accept his destiny as the Alpha of his pack before everything goes up in flames. Literally.
*****
Grey Weathers thought he was going on a relaxing vacation with his "friend with benefits" pal, until he walks right into two people that seem like the perfect couple, Dylan and Casey. What he doesn't know is that this couple are actually mates. Dylan and Casey are a couple of werewolves and their instincts are telling them that Grey is more special than he knows.
Grey finds himself in the middle of family drama, bloody secrets and a plot that would like to see every supernatural creature wiped from the face of the earth. All this is a lot to deal with, especially when he's falling in love with not just one, but two people. Could they be falling in love with him too? Is that possible? To fall in love with someone like him?
