Jay Carter lives in the old attic of a very beautiful house, owned by her Auntie whom she'd come to live with when her parents died a week after her eighth birthday. Now, nine years later, she lives with her two horrid cousins and evil, not quite sane, Auntie. She had everything planned, and running smoothly despite her family's abuse, until they unexpectedly set off for the Caribbean on a whim for two weeks. Introduce Peter Kinlan, a famous singer from the UK, and Jay's world is sent into a tail spin of disasters, fairytales, and emotions she'd been trying her whole life to avoid. Now Jay has to decide what she truly wants from life, and how Peter, who insists on a friendship she harshly turns down, will fit into it. *DISCLAIMER* This story will probably not have anything too… um… raunchy…(?) in it, but I accidentally placed it under 'romance', which I think is what automatically keeps me from setting it lower than PG-13, and now I bet it looks like you can hope for something more. If the comments prove to convince me I could/should put something more than a little suggestive though, I might, but right at the moment I'm placing a disclaimer that you shouldn't get your hopes up for something more steamy than suggestive and humorous but shortcoming situations. Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water.
