In the year 2020, some stupid government officials had an idea.

The idea was to create a makeshift river---in the middle of Oregon.

The whole state of Oregon had already been closed off, so those who lived there, could never leave. This was due to the San Andreas fault causing California to float of into the ocean. About 2 million people died during the earth quakes, and about 3 million people were injured. Although a majority of California is still standing, it is no longer connected to the United States.

While they were trying to create the river, something terrible happened.

Due to the earth's crust being shifted dramatically over the past 5 years, the "river" that went from the top to the bottom of the state, turned into one long sinkhole.

With no way out of Oregon, and the sinkhole preventing transport from one side of the state to the other, they only have one choice...
