Kayla has had a pretty much normal life, or at least until her dad and her new step mother move into a supposedly haunted house in White Point, Texas. Everything is fine for the first few days, then she notices something odd about the house. Lookig into it, she learns a 18 year old was murdered in house almsot 50 years ago. It is then she meets John's spirit. Time passes and the more alive he seems, the quicker the realise they're in love. Can Kayla help John solve the mystery of his murder and let his spirit move on, or will their nightmare be lost forever?

The class comes back to a new year, utterly shocked to find that 4 new students have joined their class. Everything starts out alright, but people are getting frantic. Shelby is mesmerized at the cute boy, and she somehow makes through the day with a new friend. Later on, they start to get more and more friendly, until prom rolls around. All the girls woo over Alex. They flirt with him, get all quirky, and try to make him like them. Shelby is then angered by this, but lets them do what they want, but what she doesn't know is that Alex wants to take HER to prom. Two days before the prom, Alex asks her, and she says yes. On the night, Alex accidentally reveals a deep secret that he held on to for a couple of years. Will Shelby accept him for who he is, or will she turn him down and leave? Michael's Ghost Girl
This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him.
