When completely normal people complain about how difficult their lives are, they really have no idea. They've never experienced abuse, bullying, depression, abandonment and the loss of people close to them. Elizabeth Harrows has experienced all of this and more.
People wonder how she copes so well with all the drama in her life and the truth is, is that she doesn't. She hasn't gotten better, she's just gotten better at hiding the pain and misery others have caused her throughout her life. To get through life, she's built an armour of steel around her. Unbreakable chains made from sarcasm, fake expressions, smirks, and alcohol that nobody can ever see past... not even herself.
Determined to let her life pass her by, she pushes people away and fills her emptiness with vodka, pills and sex. But could one person change this for her? Can one person pull her from the edge of the cliff she's been balancing on most her life?
