The world is long gone. The old ways of kindness and compassion as dead as the corpses that now stalk the Earth. In the depths of this zombie apocalypse 17 year old Ryan has survived through it all where his family hasn't been as lucky. Scavenging all he can find, his world revolves around one basic, cruel fact - that any day could be his last.
But then the impossible happens.
Suddenly his world changes and all around him feelings and people he never knew existed slice through his heart like an icy razor. He sees things that he only ever heard in fairy tales or even the world before, things that he thought were impossible. Can he stay alive long enough to save his friends from the insanity of Boss? And is it possible that he can learn to care about humanity again?

I didn't really think it through when I first wrote this but I think that Cincinnati would make a little more sense. The story was mostly imporvised, and I don't like how it's turned out. I've had a lot of new and hopefully more interesting ideas, and there's so much that I decided to rewrite the whole thing completely. The story will be very different but the characters will be the same for the most part. It'll have the same style of writing with the different points of view, but separated between books instead of chapters, and I already have a storyline laid for the first 2 or 3. I'm sorry for the people that like the original story and were hoping for more, so I won't be deleting this one. I'll update on my page once I start posting chapters of the new series.

Jack had almost hurt, or even killed, his friends by accidentally tripping over a curb and creating a massive blizzard. The Guardians were furious since the children's lives were momentarily put in serious danger by one of their own. After a heated argument between Jack and the others, he ran off. He was sick and tired of them not listening to him, always accusing him of something he didn't do, or in this case, unintentionally did. He went to his home again, but in the woods and out of sight. He ran into a witch, who he didnt even know lived there. She begged for some assistance in finding some herbs. Jack, however, declined the offer. She persisted, and that annoyed Jack. He had already been going through enough and this old witch wasn't helping. He then yelled at her to leave him be and to find her own "stupid plants". The witch wasn't happy, in fact, his blind rudeness angered her. So, she cursed him to mortality for 3 months. If he didn't learn how to handle hardships and what it's like being a human in that time frame, he would die. Jack soon meets an unexpected rescuer who takes him in and cares for him. Not only is he fighting against time, but the Boogyman decides to make Jack a target. Will he learn his lesson? Or will he die in 3 months time? If he is to survive, what will happen next? What will happen to Pitch? **This book is not all light hearted, there are serious topics included in it.**
