Lena Hale and Jackson Whittemore are both very guarded beings. Of course the only difference is that Jackson is human and Lena is a werewolf. And on top of that Lena is slightly nicer than Jackson.

But years ago, Lena and Jackson had human feelings. For each other. They were best friends before her family died in the Hale fire and she left town with her cousins, Derek and Laura.

Six years later, a new lunatic alpha roaming around their hometown Beacon Hills and a new werewolf without control, Lena and Derek are forced to help him and stop the new alpha who killed her cousin for power.

But then an old former best friend gets in the way and her feelings are put to the test. Does she actually love him? And if she does, does he love her back? And lets not forget to mention her murdering father, who wants to kill Jackson.
