Saige Baker-Fields has had trouble adjusting to life since her mother, Artisan Baker-Fields passed away from car crash injuries caused by a drunk driver. Viola "Vivi" Listman, her best friend, is the only other kid at school who knows what Saige is going through as Saige has always been a sort of introverted girl. Unfortunately her father, James "Jim" Fields, is not at home often as he works long hours at the fire station. Saige must learn to get past all the things she wishes her mother knew in this novel.
