Nala has felt like she has been stripped of something important. Her ethnicity. All through the rest of her high school career, no one cared whether you were black or white. But she went to a mostly white school. Whenever her old high school is closed because of a bug infestation the school is sent to two different schools depending on how close which school was to which. Being on the other side of the border line which made it so her and her friends had to go to a different high school, which is nicknamed "the black as fuck school"  Nala has to go through things she didn't have to go through when she went to the white school. Things like questioning who she is and who she likes and what it's like to be her, Nala, Fiorella, Madison, Tasha, and Thomas must get through Junior year.
