Julianna Rose Barter. That's me. Most people call me Julianna or Jules. Which ever suits you is fine by me. I'm 17, going on 18 living in a little coastal town in California called Lewiston. I'm a senior at McNair Acadamy. We have all the normal stereo-typical teenagers like most high schools; the jocks and cheerleaders - then there's everyone else. Nothing interesting really happens here. Until the new boy, Shane Johnson, shows up. Julianna and her best friend, Rachelle Simmons, are best friends forever. They have high hopes for their last year of high school with Julianna's twin brother Jackson and their best guy friend Nick Marx. The foursome has been inseperable when they met in preschool at age 3. With boys and drama will they ever survive the year? What happens when college arrives next year? And what about this new boy Shane? All she wants is a perfect year, a perfect summer, perfect friends, the perfect boyfriend, and a perfect life.

[Rated #8 in Broken-heart] Tired of the same old unrealistic romance novels? Pretty girl meets handsome hunk - he breaks her heart- she finds true love in the end. Looking for a little realism? Meet Olivia Woods and Julian Baker. They're regular high schoolers, just like us, only their story is anything but ordinary. ------- I stare down at her for a while, looking at our awkward position. My laugh subsides and now there was silence in the air. I lie over her as the rain hits my back and shelters her from any of it. "Well look who's fallen for me now?" I smirk, mentally high fiving myself. She looks at me with serious eyes before letting out a small laugh. It was soft and something I didn't mind hearing more often. Maybe it was the other way around. Maybe I've fallen for her instead. ------- What happens when these two opposites meet one afternoon on the same basketball court? What happens if an innocent question turns into a complicated plan for the oh so famous jock? And what happens if one kiss changes everything Olivia's ever worked for?
