16 year old Lacey Severide is no stranger to the supernatural, having had physic abilities almost all her life. She has always been able to feel, hear, and sometimes even see sprits, feel the emotions of people around her, and changes in her environment that no one else can. But after being taught by her strange grandma, who seems to know way more about the supernatural that surrounds us all on a daily basis then most people do, she learned to tune out the abilities enough to live a fairly normal life. in till a sprit that can manifest its self in a solid human-like form, talk like a normal person, and seems to know a lot more then he should about her starts popping up. What Lacey doesn't know is that the sprit whose presence she'd grown attached too isn't a sprit at all, he's Death and her time of dying is fast approaching, and what he doesn't expect is too fall in love with the girl whose soul he's suppose to take. when Lacey gets into a suppose to be fatal car accident, unable to take the soul of the only person he's ever loved he breaks all the rules and pulls her form the burning wreckage. Little does Death know that every supernatural being on earth would do just about anything to get their hands on Lacey. Will being in love with Death be the thing that saves her in the end?
