One day in a battle against a rouge dragon, Hiccup is killed. Toothless, grieving, flew away, and not paying attention to where he was going, landed on a strange island. There was a village there, and people who also rode dragons.... But rather then there being different types of dragons, there was only NightFurys.... Now toothless is living amongst them, he has a family and is one happy dragon! But what will happen when the past comes back to haunt him?
