" You're the Crown Prince now, mon fils." Every organ in my body stopped functioning. My body gained the weight of a million sumo wrestlers and I could feel my knees trembling from the weight. This could not be happening. I was not suited to become Crown Prince. Nevertheless the King someday. There had to be some way I could escape this fate. Not only am I not mentally or physically stable enough, the people of Cascara deserve better than myself. I'm only the second born. The history of our lands never speaks of the second son becoming King. That does not happen. Growing up within the palace walls shaped me into the citizen I am today, but I never would have thought I would take the throne in place of Silas. I would have taken my training more seriously. I would have taken my academics more seriously. I would have definitely taken my love life more seriously. I can't rule alone. The flings I have are not Princess worthy, especially not Queen material. I still stood firmly. " I accept, Père." I bowed to my Father. Suddenly a hand rested on my shoulder. His grey eyes were rimming with tears. " Thank you, Alaric."
