The year is 2432. Vampires came out of the coffin over 100 years ago and are now the upper-class society. They're pretty much the same; don't like sunlight, stake to the heart, drink blood, yada, yada, yada. But there is one thing we didn't know before; their bite gives the ultimate pleasure and can turn any victim straight, gay, or bi. Tony Bennett has hated vampires ever since they split up his parents when he was 7 years old. Now he's married to the girl of his dreams, but what happens when a vampire takes his wife, and another stands up to the plate to catch him? Adam Turner is not your average vampire. He finds the taking of people against their will repulsive, and hasn't had the need to have a permanent human to stay with him. But what happens when he meets Tony, the fiery human who satisfies his lust and his mind? Will rage consume them both? Or will they learn there's more to both species then they thought? She Blushes, I Bite: A Lost Boys Fanfiction. FINISHED AND COMPLEATED. This is book 2 of Looks Can Be Deceiving. If you haven't read the first book, I recommend starting with it to avoid confusion. It's published and completed on my account, but feel free to read this one first if you prefer. In Santa Carla, monsters don't hide beneath beds. They wear mesh and white leather and flirt like it's foreplay. Paul is the kind of nightmare you don't wake up from - tall, bleach-blond, swagger laced with sin. His clothes shouldn't work, but they do. His jokes shouldn't land, but they sting. He smells like trouble and tastes like it too. There's blood on his breath, humor in his cruelty, and a slow-burning hunger stitched into every sideways grin. He's immortal. Predatory. And completely uninterested in rules. Nina's everything he's not. Mortal. Fragile. Wrapped in oversized sleeves and jittery breath. Her hoodie's her shell. Her glasses slide down her nose as she tries to disappear between apologies. She stutters through sentences and flinches at compliments - soft, sweet, and utterly human in a city that isn't. She doesn't know what Paul is. He knows exactly what she is - prey with potential. He jokes about murder. She laughs, half-confused. He bites with words. She blushes like it might be affection. She's afraid of everything. He's only afraid he might ruin her too fast. Their chemistry is cruel - opposites igniting across damp boardwalks and flickering neon. She tries to walk faster. He keeps catching up. And somewhere between the blushes and the smirks, a game begins. She's not meant for his world. But she keeps choosing his orbit. And he's starting to like how her heartbeat sounds when she's scared.
