After Charlie's mom gets married to a wealthy american she has to move to Rosemary, Vermont and leaving her island and friends behind. In the town of Rosemary the people where shocked to see puertorricans for the first time, they stood out in the sea of whites. The people on the town weren't that happy with Charlie's arrival, they judged her only by her skin color. But what happens when Charlie meets an interesting boy from who saves her? Will he judge her by her skin color like the town people do too or actually get pass that and get to know her for who she really is?
