After a seventh ice age the world began a new. Humans now are trying to survive in this new world, but now are not the only intelligence thing on earth. Humans share this world with monsters called Creatures. The two have been enemies since the Creatures appeared in the sixth ice age. Teaching their young to despise one another. Jenna has been taught this ever since she was a little girl, and now she wants nothing more to be a hunter like her two brothers and father and destroy the Creatures. When she turns 18 she learns what her future job will be but instead of being a hunter she is given the job of being a mother and to pass her wisdom on to children. Discussed with the job chosen Jenna decides to show the village she should be a hunter. Only it doesn't go as well as she plans and Jenna eventually turns into the very thing she hates, Jenna then must go on a quest to return back to her human self, on her journey she meet Sword: a Creature she hates but also her only hope of getting back to being a human.
