Corgren earns a dangerous but successful living as a knife-fighter. He's especially satisfied killing men from Hart, a country that oppresses Corgren's country, Rok. With his brother, Paugren as his manager, Corgren travels the length of the Hart River as a regular in the fighting rings along the trading wharves. But one night after a win, Corgen is approached by a stranger and offered a way to gain vengeance on his enemy. As he considers the offer, he is increasingly threatened by the fighting-ring masters because of his success. Can he survive as an independent or does he need the help of a more powerful ally? This is the first prequel short story to the forthcoming novel, The Bow of Destiny, by P. H. Solomon, due out on 9/28/2015. This story, Trading Knives, will be available in early August of 2015.

The gods are watching. The past is bleeding into the present. And Zeph is running out of time. Two months after surviving his so-called ascension, Zeph is still piecing himself together. The voices in his head-one of them belonging to a long-dead god-haven't quieted. His nightmares are growing more vivid. And Astaroth... Astaroth is hiding something. When an old enemy resurfaces with a devastating truth, Zeph and Astaroth are thrust into a battle they aren't ready for. Chronica has returned, stronger than before, and she's not alone. As divine power begins to stir once more, the line between who they were and who they are now starts to blur. Zeph was never meant to survive. Astaroth was never meant to remember. And when fate demands its due, they may have to destroy each other to break free. What does it mean to be divine?
