18 years ago a highly contagious disease broke out in Dry Valley, Nevada causing the entire city to have infertility, fatigue, breathing difficulty  and serious heart conditions  often leading to death. The survivors of this disease entitled Merica have been put behind thick aluminum walls surrounding their city as a way of preventing spreading.  Leaving them with no outside connection the death sentence cause the survivors to turn to anything and everything to make their lives go by faster.
In the most mild case of this disease is Avia Page. Avia is one of the youngest in Dry Valley along with her boyfriend Chase Berland his twin brother Jai Berland and her friend Nina all being babies when the disease hit. But  Avia mysteriously disappears leaving the group to play an endless guessing game and the government to go on a witch hunt. After realizing that there is a way out of death who will follow in her footsteps.
