Sophia Henderson is your normal good girl. She is sweet, kind, caring, and all about making a difference. Her past was everything, but a walk in the park and she recovered from it, though. She has the soul of a fighter and is as stubborn as a mule, not to mention her heart made of gold. She is seventeen years old and getting ready to enter her last summer before senior year. Before she heads off to college in hopes to become a Psychologist and Social Worker helping teens.
Here Aunt call her and tells her she has the perfect summer job for her. 
Camp Hope, a camp for kids who have issues, abuse, drugs, alchol, sex, and anything else you could imagine.
She is asked to be a consular there, meaning she has to drop everything and go to the mountains for the summer on her own.

Braden Hunter, the definition of badass. He smokes, he drinks, he fights, he has sex, he fails school, he doesn't care about anything, he is trouble. Once his adopted mother and father have it and see him on the road to his own death, they know they must stop it before they are getting a phone call informing them their son's on a cold slab of metal dead. They are desperate to do something, find something, that will change him. Finally they decide to send him to Camp Hope, praying this will be the thing that will change him.

Braden and Sophia meet at the swell camp full of hope. They could not be more opposite besides one thing. They both have a dark past. Will Sophia share one of her biggest secrets that she is afraid to tell anyone outside her family? Will he share his haunting past? Will they become unlikely friends? Can love change someone? Can love save lives? Can love have hope?
