''You can't even take a nap anymore without being humiliated by society. Society is officially a chicken and I am their feed. I hate chickens.''
Gemma is a girl. Part of 50% of the earths population - pretty normal, by that definition, right? Except Gemma doesn't feel like a girl any more, she feels like an alien. An alien who has four legs and a third nipple on her forehead.
Damn the internet. She's a meme now, ever since her brother took that snapshot of her stretching while she slept and edited it to make her look like a gorilla (How does a ten year old do that? How?!).
No big deal, right? Wrong. She's being recognised in the streets - Which is insulting, since she was supposed to look like a gorilla. But still, even so, who cares? Everyone will forget soon, right? Wrong again. It turns national.
And this somehow leads to her being jailed. But her best friend James will help her, right? Wrong once again (Jesus, you sure are bad at guessing) . James has his own secret problems. She's in this on her own. And that's how she'll get out of it, right?
