The Hawaiian Special Forces by WingedPanther73

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

The Phoenices Volume 1 - Expired by NyxEridanus

This is the novel I'm writing for National Novel Writing Month, I'm planning on it being approx. 50,000 words, that's 1,667 words per day. This project might continue on into December if it gets enough reads and support, that being a big if. If it's not getting the attention I want it to get for the publishing to be a good idea, then I won't work with it anymore or waste anymore time on a dying novel. You may have noticed I have changed the title, I'm planning on making this a short series, maybe four or five books, unless I can keep coming up with a plot that won't get boring after that. As of right now, I don't even know what's going to happen on the next page. I'm planning on publishing this soon, it'll be available on Amazon when I do if anyone wants to purchase it and help a girl out. I'll post about it when it is available, keep an eye out for notifications and updates on how the editing is coming. I'm still looking for a few people to give me constructive criticism on this piece, help me edit the original maybe, I just need some help with it because I've been staring at it for way too long. An ordinary 14-year-old girl, Violet, plays truth or dare with her friends and is dared to go through the forest behind her backyard. She gets lost and finds a sort of gate that leads to a world full of monsters and creatures and falls through, fainting at when knights and warriors come. She wakes back up in a castle dungeon and is soon let out when she tells the king who she is and is deemed trustworthy. As she overhears a conversation that a war has been declared and that the evil king has declared war for power and land, Violet says that she'll go over and try to defeat the evil king, just so she can earn peoples' trust. The king agrees, thinking it as a good idea. Now, she must defeat the evil king and find her way back home. Note: Possible redo

Tess is moving in with her cousin, Gabby, for the rest of the school year. But they haven't really spoken in ten years, and Gabby is finding it hard to understand that Tess is no longer a baby. Being shorter than everyone in her class, trusting what people tell her, and wetting the bed will only make it harder to send the right message. How can the teen prove her adulthood, before Gabby humiliates her in front of her friends and her new boyfriend? This book and The Last New Start tell the same story from different perspectives. Both of them will be complete stories in their own right, but reading them together might give a little more depth. I will be writing these for NaNoWriMo 2021, which means that I will attempt to post at least one chapter of one of the stories every day in November; and if I can write faster than that, then any remaining chapters will be available to all my Patreon supporters (including the $1 tier) for this month. My NaNoWriMo novel from November 1st 2016-June 8th 2017 ft. My 2019 self's astute critique. ~~ Miryanna Heolstor is a lady of Terinnia, the niece of the king himself. Ever since she was young she's wanted to follow her father's footsteps and become an ambassador to the land of Fasik. But a new threat is building that will put being an ambassador far from her mind. Her friend Andarin is involved in a secret organization called the Erglis that protects the kingdom from people and organizations who would do it harm. Miryanna wants in. Even if those people and organizations are Karayan Batal and the Vanags. A bloodthirsty group and a passionate and powerful man who's goal is to overtake the land of Terinnia and lay it bare to the hostile Empire of Amani's clutches. Miryanna never thought she'd be butting heads with her kingdom's greatest threat, but while Karayan does his utmost to upset the deffences of her and the Erglis, she does everything in her power to keep his hands off the things she loves, finding a formidable antagonist in the process. Can Miryanna find the strength within her to do all she can for her friends and the land of Terinnia? Or will she become another victim in a power play by an overambitious empire? ~~ Fantasy/adventure, a bit of cringe, a lot of not knowing what I'm doing. I've given my commentary and for once, I want to hear other people's take on this too, but for pete's sake, know what you're talking about before you hit "comment". It is completely unedited. All typos, punctuation mistakes, and questionable grammar is in place. Don't bother with it. That's not important to me, the story and story and world is.

Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014) by emmernemmer

This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.
