"It's the year 2022, it's been 5 months since the virus had made it's world wide out break. We all tried to save on another, but people would never truly realize that it is never safe. All the protection areas have been breached. One bite and you're gone. One scratch and you're no longer the person you were before. This is something I have come to learn these past months. I don't know if they'll be anyone left in the future to actually hear these recordings. I've been on the run by myself for three months, they got Keri, Dylan and Jonah. Luckily I haven't seen them since. I'm sure there's only a matter of time until it's my turn. . . So that's why I'm recording these. My name is Emily and the following recordings are each part of my story in the infected world." In after the virus was spread, the world hasn't been the same. Never will be if you ask Emily, who is convinced she may just be the last person on earth. But hoping to keep the human race from going extinct, she perseveres through every zombie infested day by herself. Until one day she spots a helicopter flying over an abandoned city she had been staying in and landing in a forest. She rushes up there to find a boy named Danny, who had been on the run by himself just like her. After a quarrel with herself on whether or not he should be trusted, Emily joins him on his journey to an isolated island that is rumored to be free of the dead. Things are going well until the copter is taken down by who knows what and have to continue on foot. Through with Danny by her side, Emily feels safer than she has been the past five months and can't seem to figure out why, the only thing on her mind is finding a cure. But what they learn about the cure is so shocking she's not sure if she actually wants to go through with it. Can Emily figure out her feelings, or will they just be just what destroys her?

**COMPLETED** Several years after the world succumbed to a deadly strain of measles that turned those infected into crazed, mindless cannibals, Charlotte wanders the backroads alone, content with surviving day-to-day. That is until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. But with the clock ticking, Charlotte's new found family may just end up like her own, dead and destroyed, if Emmi is exposed to the disease that her father tried so hard to protect her from.
