Liana Emerson has always been fascinated by dinosaurs. It's hard not to love the prehistoric creatures when your uncle is Alan Grant. After working for the Navy training military dogs, she is offered a job at the same place her uncle warned her about. The new and improved Jurassic World. Despite all the terrible stories her uncle told her about the former Jurassic Park, she accepts their job offer with little to no hesitation. Little did she expect to run in with an old friend she thought she'd lost forever, Owen Grady.

Takes place four years after the events of The Lost World. Ian and Clarissa Malcolm are peacefully living with their son Owen Grady who is now twenty-one and has enlisted as a Navy SEAL. After a lecture Alan Grant and Clarissa Malcolm did together, they were approached by a man offering to fund Grant's research if he gave him and his wife an illegal aerial tour of Isla Sorna. Upon telling Ian about what was going on, Ian was very against the idea, knowing that something might go wrong. Clarissa assured her husband that nothing would go wrong and it was a quick flight tour and no ground activity. Not having many friends, she devotes most of her time to the T-Rex, showing her to the public and getting her friendly around people. Along the way she meets Owen Grady, the arrogant Velociraptor trainer. And she falls for him. While the park is running smoothly, InGen focuses on their latest asset, the Indominus Rex.
