This story is about a girl whos life is tangled.
Jaycelyn Monroe has a few secrets of her own. For example, secret number one: her parents got into a car accident when she was only 6 years old, meaning she's in a foster care. An old family friend, Addie, has adopted Jacey. This is where secret number two comes in: Addie has abused Jacey years back, when her parents were alive. All Jacey could do is say she fell. I mean, what else could she do? And lastly, secret number three: her only real friends were the kids at the foster care. Everyone else has left her. But Jacey may not be the only one with secrets. Addie may have some of her own, but will her house have any clues, maybe even some that are connected to her parents?

He tries to find out more about Vlad and finds out that he has been lying all the time. He's not a teacher, he's not even human. Vlad arranges a class trip to Transylvania. But no one will come back.
