Her name is Rose, she was like a rose.

She let no one in and whenever someone wanted to get close she pushed them away. The thorns of a rose led people to not grab them and Rose had her own thorns.

She is a beauty, a sight to see, but no one dared to get close for they might get pricked in the skin.

He wasn't scared to get pricked, he wasn't scared to get hurt while reaching out to her. He knew she was his.

He wouldn't let anything get in the way for they were meant for each other.

She knew they were meant to be, but she was scared.

Scared she might hurt him.

He hissed as the alcohol touched his bleeding wound and he grabbed my hand. His touch ignited a flame and I knew that later I might have to treat myself for burns. "I'm sorry, did that hurt?" I asked, softly. I tried to calm my breathing as I did so, he was so close. The years that I spent staying away from his kind weren't paying off. "No," He retorted sarcastically, still holding onto my hand. "I hissed because I'm a snake. Of course that hurt, pumpkin." His comment awakened several buried memories, but I ignored them and continued to work on his wound. "Could you please let go of my hand now?" I muttered. He smirked and shook his head. "Do I scare you?" he asked, completely ignoring my question. Even though he did scare me, he scared me completely biscuit-less, I rose my head up and shook my light brown waves. "Absolutely, not." ************************ Gemma Reynolds is an an overworked nurse and probably one of the most innocent and pure people you will ever meet. ------- He loved the girl that can't love him.....And now he can't love the girl that loves him -------- ** "Don't worry.." I say, getting up off the chair and walking around him on my way out, my scarf running through his fingers lightly until it slips out. He tilts his head back over the back of his chair in a lazy laid back way, his thumb and fingers now holding his chin, as he watches me leave, still with a small smile on his face. "I won't break your heart." I turn around and say lightly, jokingly, just to tease him. His smile fades. "You won't...because you can't break what's already broken." He says more seriously. ******* Once bitten, twice shy Such is the case for Aaron Bishop, who after a failed marriage, decides that love and all things related, is not worth the trouble. Can Aaron convince her to jump along on the ride with him on his terms....? But what happens when the lines start to get blurred and they get so intertwined that it's harder to separate, than stay together. * Books by Bellamerce 1) Only For You (Completed) 2) When Stars Align (Completed) 3) Fire On Fire (Completed) 4) Diamond Heart (Completed)
