Long ago, there was a war waged by the Witches against the Wolves. The cause was over terrain, deceit, murder, and betrayal. The rising conflict between both races soon affected everyone in the supernatural spectrum, from Vampires to Fae, all began to choose sides. The battle lasted for five hundred years either side losing most of their allies along the way from fear of extinction. Before the war it was a well known fact that Wolves could have mates from any race, even Witches. Coincidentally during said war or rather the beginning beginning of it, and after, no records of Witches having become mates with a wolf have surfaced. A peace treaty is what ended it, deciding to do so for the sake of their races and others. Tensions are still very much alive, put a Witch and Wolf together in a room and they will glare each other down, perhaps even go for an open throat. BUT if you put a male Witch and an alpha Wolf in a room together, mention they are mates and all hell breaks loose.

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
