An apocalypse. Who knew, right? Malley (19) along with her older sister Leah (26) are on the search to find Malley's two year old son Cane.
Before people started eating people, Malley had brought Cane to her mothers house to hide him from her abusive baby daddy Derik. While Derik was home, Malley always hid Cane from him to protect him. Derik raped and beat her, only to leave her for long business trips which she was thanklful for.
While this was all happening, Leah had just picked Malley up from the hospital after an unusually harsh beating.( Although scars along her back prove this one not the worst. Leah and Malley were always abused by their father as children until Leah killed him and ran away with Malley). They arrived home only to realize people were eating eachother, and Cane was missing. So they set off in search of Cane, not giving one shit about the zombies around them. They were good with weapons and could handle anything thrown their way. But will they be able to handle the two rude rednecks they meet at a camp along the way? Will they ever be reunited with cane?

Beatrix and Daryl had never met before. In fact, they lived two completely different lives. Beatrix lived in the city, right beside of the hospital, which is where she spent most of her time. Her favorite thing to do at work-besides work, of course-was to talk to her patients and the nurses. She had never been in trouble a day in her life. She had a perfect record, not even being stained with as little as a speeding ticket. Daryl lived in a secluded cabin, at least three miles away from any civilization. The only time he ever talked to anybody was when he was forced to at work. He was constantly in and out of jail, mostly taking the blame for his older brother, but nobody knew that except for him. He destroyed the name Dixon. You couldn't have picked two people that were more different. What happens when the apocalypse brings them together? Will they ever be able to be together?
